TDJU to refrain from covering news

Thoubal District Journalists' Union (TDJU) has strongly condemned the use of offensive words and attempt to thrash three journalists by the protesters at Sora in Thoubal district on November 24 last.
In a meeting held today at its office with Soibam Binoy as the president, the Union denounced the act of attempted attack on two Journalists of Image TV Kakching and one of the Hueiyen Lanpao Daily by the agitators, while the media persons were to cover the news of protest as part of their duty.
Unless and until the 44-yaithibi Loukon Land Owners' Association apologizes to the TDJU and the people of Manipur, the Union will not cover any news of the Yaithibi Loukon Land Owners' Association.
The TDJU has also decided to request the Editors' Guild Manipur and the AMWJU to not to cover any news concerning Yaithibi Loukon Land Owners' Assn.
The Union has also appealed to its members not to report any news of the Association.
