Karam Shyam says officials should work for welfare of State

CAF & PD Minister Karam Shyam has conveyed that he supports the initiative and steps taken up by Chief Minister for opening an Anti-Corruption Cell and promoting transparency in governance.
He stated this during a press conference held today at his conference hall, Old Secretariat during which SDC Sagolmang, Maibam Suranjoy Singh was posted as Sub-Registrar Imphal West, DC office through lucky draw system (random pick-up) in the presence of Revenue Secretary T Ranjit and Deputy Secretary, Y Rajen and other officials.
Four other contenders for the post were Bhungba Maibam, Branch Officer, DC Imphal West, Pangambam Yaitongba Singh, AS & SO, Department of Settlement & Land Reforms, Manipur, Lukram Herojit, SDC, Keirao, Bitra and Yaiphaba Longjam, SDC (Headquarters), DC Imphal East.
They were selected on the basis of reports about their performance, work integrity and service ethics submitted by their concerned higher officials.
Pointing out that the main objective behind today's press conference is to focus on the significance of minimizing corruption during transfer and posting of Government officials in the State, Minister Karam Shyam said that the State's economy will improve if the officials work with utmost sincerity.
He also reminded that he is fully set on posting responsible persons compatible with their respective posts as per the meeting held at Lamphel on December 4, last year.
He stated that SDCs should work honestly in the State's interest and produce effective results.
Minister Karam Shyam congratulated the newly posted Sub-Registrar Imphal West Maibam Suranjoy on his appointment and suggested him to work honestly in the interest of the public, without corruption and to serve for the betterment of the future generations of Manipur.
