Imphal, December 24 2017:
The proscribed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) has greeted the people of Manipur on the occasion of Christmas, wishing for peace and love, according to a statement from the Secretary, Minority Affairs of the front .
Jesus Christ came as a messenger to this world to guide the people on the right path and his message says that mankind should live together in peace and with love.
The outfit said, adding Jesus, who sacrificed his life for humanity, taught mankind that there is no fear and deception in love and one of his most important messages was that humans should love one another .
RPF continued that people in Manipur should learn from his teachings to forgive one other.
It cautioned secularism is in danger in the State under the alleged oppressive rule of India .
The front alleged that India is driving a wedge between the people by favouring only the Hindus.
It further cited a recent incident in which RSS chief Mohan Bhagat who, in an event in Tripura on December 17, stated that India belongs only to the Hindus.
It said that such statement clearly showed India does not respect other religions .
Nevertheless, as Jesus taught human beings to love one another, RPF wished that people in Manipur who have lived here from time immemorial would coexist as Christmas arrives this year.
