Exerting pressure on the Government of Manipur for proper investigation and justice into the case of human skulls and other skeleton remains recovered during excavation at the erstwhile complex of Tombisana High School on December 25 last, representatives of various social organisations tried to storm the official residence of the Chief Minister here on Saturday.
Setting February 3 as the deadline, the agitators have also warned of resorting to all possible democratic mass movements if the demands were not fulfilled.

After staging a sit-in demonstration under the aegis of Committee on Mass Grave at Tombisana High School (COMGATS) at Keishampat Yumjao Lairembi community hall since morning, the protestors came marching towards the Chief Minister's bungalow.
However, they were stopped by the police at Nityaipat Chuthek, where a confrontation ensued.
Later on, a delegation led by Phulindro Konsam, convenor of COMGATS, was allowed to go and submit a memorandum to the Chief Minister.
Among other points, the memorandum demanded to institute a special Commission of Inquiry, comprising legal luminaries, forensic experts, human rights defenders, anthropologists, civil society leaders, etc to investigate into the case and further to prosecute all those persons involved, to pass an order for stopping all construction works at Tombisana High School complex immediately, to preserve and seal the discovered human skeleton with the full and direct involvement of FIDAM representatives, to provide justice to families of those disappeared at the hands of security forces in Manipur and to repeal Armed Forces Special Powers Act to end all extra-judicial executions and enforced disappearances in Manipur.
Giving February 3 as the deadline for complying with these demands, the memorandum signed jointly by convenor of COMGATS Phulindro Konsam and three other co-convenors namely Joy Chingakham, Oinam Bikramjit and Laishram Sanajaoba Meitei, also warned of taking recourse to various mass movements.
