KSA meets Education Minister

Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA) met Education Minister Th Radheshyam at his office chamber today to discuss the stand of KS A against the selection of Dr Gopalchandra Bag of West Bengal, by MPSC for the post of College Principal sidelining the criteria for eligible candidates to be permanent residents of the State.
A press release issued by the president of KSA, N Chetan said that the MPSC Chairman had earlier assured to take up necessary action but then failed to live up to the prorhise.
Then on May 25, KSA appealed for a meeting with the CM and the Education Minister but in vain.
As such, KSA decided to continue its protest, it stated and added that after KSA's protest gained momentum, the Education Minister agreed to meet KSA for discussion on the issue.
During the meeting today, the Education Minister patiently heard the demands of the KSA and urged the association to give some time so that the Minister can discuss the issue with the MPSC Chairman and the Education Commissioner.
The Minister also proposed another meeting on June 26 in connection with the issue, it added.
KSA conveyed that until and unless Dr Gopalchandra Bag is removed from his post, the association will not back off from its stand and warned the State Government against compromising the education atmosphere of the State.
