Election fever on the rise in Tamenglong, aspiring candidates go all out to woo voters

Election fever ran high in Tamenglong Headquarters as three aspirants for the upcoming 10th Assembly Elections organized worship programme, get together meet to show off their strength.
Tamenglong town came out to see the parade of vehicles transporting supporters from different villages of the 53 Tamenglong ST A/C which arrived to show support and attend the functions organized today.
Three candidates namely present MLA and Vice Chairman Hill Area Committee Khangthuanang Panmei, aspiring candidate Janghemlung Panmei and ex-minister Samuel Jendai organized different programs at separate venues today.
The MLA organized a worship programme for commencement of his election rally at his own residence at Namlalong Tamenglong ward/No II.
Where talking to reporters said that he has some achievements to his credit and would like to continue on the same way if he wins the election.
He said Tamenglong district is neglected by the state government.
Another similar worship service was held by Janghemlung Panmei , a new candidate in the forth coming election to the 10th general assembly at Trinity complex.
He also spoke to the media persons stating that Tamenglong district is lagging behind in road connectivity on which all development and economic condition of the people depend.
He wants to change the mindset of the people.
He also said that road connectivity also figure among priority area.
Ex- minister Samuel Jendai also organized a "Supporters Get Together" at his residence at Model village, Tamenglong ward/No III.
He also spoke on the sideline of the programme stating that in his interaction with the people for last one year, he found that they want a change in leadership and if elected he wants to build up the agriculture sector.
All three functions pulled in huge crowd and the supporters were dazzled with renditions from popular artists of the like of Albina Gonson, Sorri Senjam, Bobin, Benny Khongsai, Tharte Zami among others.
Huge buffets were organized to feed the massive crowds which ran into thousands.
The worship programs were marked with prayers and hymns invoking blessings for each aspiring candidate.
