Shiv Sena eyes to field 15 candidates

Shiv Sena is eyeing to contest the 12th Manipur Assembly election in at least 15 Constituencies.
This was said by vice president of Shiv Sena, State unit vice president (administration) Okram Ibohalbi during a press briefing at Babupara.
He continued that about 20 people have applied for the party's ticket so far.
The party is preparing to field at least 15 candidates after screening, Ibohalbi said and maintained that the name of candidates list will be announced after January 26 .
The party will provide an opportunity to women who want to take part in policy making, he maintained.
Saying that the Shiv Sena will press the Centre to identify Manipur as a hill State, Ibohalbi continued that there is a need to discuss on what ground benefits of the ST are given as many people from the hill districts who have settled in the valley too enjoy the benefits.
Urging all to shun using muscle and money power in election campaigning, Ibolhalbi said that a certain conviction is required to save Manipur and take the State to greater heights.
