Total shutdown cripples normal life in Bpr and Tbl

Bpr/Tbl, November 19 2019:
The 18-hr state-wide total shutdown called by MANPAC opposing the introduction and passing of Citizenship Amendment Bill in the ongoing winter session of the Parliament, has affected normal life in Bishnupur district.
All the major markets in Bishnupur district - Nambol market, Oinam market, Bishnupur market, Ningthoukhong market, Moirang market, Kwakta market and Kumbi market - wore a deserted look and all the shops remain closed during the bandh.

Govt offices also witnessed minimum attendance during the bandh while inter-district and inter-village passenger service vehicles also stayed off the road.
No untoward incidents have been reported so far.
Thoubal: The total shutdown also crippled normal life in Thoubal District.
Major markets in Wangjing, Thoubal, Yairipok etc, wore deserted look during the bandh and shops, schools remain closed while passenger vehicles stayed off the road.
