5th Public Hearing on District Re-organisation
'Exclude South Senapati from Sadar Hills'

The 5th Public Hearing on the Re-organisation of Administrative and Police Boundaries (CRAPB) was held at the conference hall of the Chief Secretary's office, Old Secretariat today.
The Southern Senapati Naga village Council has pressed for the exclusion of southern Senapati in the proposed Sadar hills District at the public meeting which was organized by the Committee on Re-organisation of Administrative and Police Boundaries (CRAPB), chaired by the Chief Secretary, DS Poonia this morning.
After the public meeting, Mabiku John, Chairman of the Southern Senapati Naga village Council, while interacting with the media said that they are against the demand for a full fledged district of Sadar Hills as it is entirely based on the interest of the Kuki community alone.
Haopu Lufen, President of Bungji Area Chiefs' Association, who also participated in the public hearing, said that the Kuki inhabited areas of Bungji area under Senapati district should be placed under the proposed Sadar Hills District.
The demand for a full fledged Sadar Hills district is reasonable.
The members of Kangchup SDC Circle Village Chiefs' and Chairman also gave statements at the public hearing held today.
C Thanglein, Chief of Sadar Jatei who gave a statement at the public hearing said that Saikul, Kangpokpi and areas of South Block which constitutes the boundaries of the proposed Sadar hills should not be bifurcated and should be the real boundary of Sadar hills district.
It may be mentioned that the Public Hearing of the Committee on Re-organisation of Administrative and Police Boundaries was held for the first time on September 15 .
The 2nd public hearing was held on September 17, the 3rd hearing on September 29 and the fourth hearing on October 7 .
