Goodwill car rally flagged off

Imphal, December 18 2017:
Sainik School Imphal Alumni Association Adventure Club (SSIAA) organised the first goodwill car rally, which was flagged off by Principal, Sainik School Imphal, Capt (IN) Vinay Tiwari, from the premise of the school, today .
The rally, to be organized annually, was conceptualized by SSIAA as a venture to evoke the spirit of fraternity in all the North East States, which have large number of Alumni of Sainik School Imphal .
Speaking on the occasion, Capt (IN) Vinay Tiwari said that Sainik School Imphal, established in the year 1971, is one of the most important institutions in the country today.
Over the last four and half decades of its existence, Sainik School Imphal has been contributing to the Nation’s growth and development of human resources besides grooming young cadets for the uniformed services .
He further added that discipline, courage, fraternity, excellence and national character is the strength to rejuvenate with a mission and to collectively work to build a stronger Nation .
The SSIAA reaffirms to live in the bond of fraternity reconnected by institution’s umbilical cord and with a vision of offering a common and meaningful platform to all the Alumni of all the Sainik Schools in the country, he added .
The rally starting from Manipur with a total of 25 members in eight vehicles will cover the States of Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura and Mizoram.
Staff and students of Sainik School, Imphal took part in the function along with the members of the Alumni.
