Womenfolk exhorted

Noted social scientist social of Manipur Dr.Dhanabir has urged the womenfolk in Manipur to keep alive the yester years' spirit and courage shown by them during Nupi Lals.
He was speaking at the 15th foundation day of Roadside Vendors Welfare Association held at G..MHall here today.
The women in the state need to revive their stand and do better in displaying their courage which is the need of the hour, he added.
.STiken Singh, chairperson, Bazar Board Committee, IMC and E.Tomba, Deputy Labour Commissioner, Manipur were guests of honour of the function which was also attended by Chinglen Meishnam, professor in Manipur University, Canchipur, Dr.Dhanabir Laishram, social scientist, Manipur University and Liklaleima, senior journalist, Laishram Mema, Devi, general secretary, MKNM, Kshetri Tama Devi, president RSVWA as Special Guests while Md.Ali, secretary, National Hawkers Association as functional president.
Chinglen Meishnam, speaking at the occasion called upon the womenfolk to unite themselves in their endeavour to address issues.
He also lauded the courage and contribution made by the vendors' association in the well being of the society as a whole.
As such, he urged the government and the people to regard the work and contribution made by them and also asked the government to provide financial assistance to the association to develop it.
