APSC lauds

The members of the Association of Premiere State College Seniors, Manipur (APSCS) have lauded the Manipur High Court ruling of January 22 which will ensure that pre-2006 pensioners who retired as readers/lecturers (SG) from the post in the pre-revised scales of pay with 3 years service, get the due benefits.
A statement issued by the association conveyed that the Court order directed the State and Union Governments to implement the office memorandum issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pension Department of Pensioners Welfare, India on September 1, 2008, and the letter issued on December 15, 2009, by the HRD, Department of Higher Education, India, to enable the members of the association to get their entitlement within a period of eight weeks.
Welcoming the Court's ruling, the association expressed gratitude to Justice MV Muralidharan.
It also pointed out that Senior Counsel BP Sahu and Counsel Phungyo Zingkhei appeared on behalf of the petitioner during the Court proceedings.
