The annual plan size of the State for the next fiscal year 2009-10 is likely to be finalised either on February 25 or 26 .
The State Government has proposed finalisation of the annual plan size of the State for the next fiscal year 2009-10 between the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission either on February 25 or 26 .
According to an official source, though the Planning Commission has not given any response to the proposal of the State Government, the finalisation of the State plan size within the current month is essential in view of the election code of conduct of the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
Otherwise, finalisation of the plan size has to wait till the completion of the election process, the source added.
It maybe noted that the Lok Sabha election is to be held in April-May this year.
The State Government has projected Rs 2425.92 crores including an amount of Rs 800 crores as Special Plan Assistance (SPA) as the annual plan size of the State for the next fiscal year.
The projection is an increased of 45 percent from the plan size of the current fiscal year.
The meeting of the Working Group on discussing the plan size of the State had already been field on January 16 and 17 .
