Imphal, August 06 2011:
The Naga Students' Union, Chandel welcomed the Manipur Government's move for the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) under the Board of Secondary Education Manipur but questioned the omitting of Additional English in the language II subject.
Majority of the inhabitants of Chandel district are tribes whose languages are not under Major Indian Language the Union questioned.
The move by the State Government is an act of discrimination towards the minority tribes.
The Union also urged the State government to set up examination centres in every district.
