Several Civil Frontal Organizations of Chandel submitted a memorandum jointly to the Governor of Manipur threatening to launch intense agitations from March 6 onwards in case their demands are not fulfilled by then.
In the memorandum which was jointly signed and submitted through the Deputy Commissioner of Chandel by President of ANTA Wng Kohring Victor, President of ASR St Ruth, President of ALCA BD Thumdang and President of ALT Ps Monihring, the frontal organisations demanded that all the Manipur Police and VDF personnel involved in the brutal assault on a couple and two students at Sugnu on February 24 should be booked and and allowing to be dealt in accordance to Anal customary law on or before March 4 and arrangement for special examinations of the victim students could not write their remaining examinations should be made.
Maintaining that Sugnu private centre is not safe for the students, the memorandum also demanded that Chakpikarong Govt High School be declared as a private centre for both HSLC and Higher Secondary Examination.
In case of failure to meet these demands, various intense agitations would be launched from March 6 and the State Government should be held responsible for any eventuality in this regard, the joint memorandum added.
