AR organises career counselling programme

Moreh Battalion of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) has organised a career counselling capsule for youths of Moreh town.
The aim of this capsule was to generate awareness among students regarding multiple career opportunities available and to prevent them from abusing drugs and unlawful activities, said AR.
The programme was organised at St George's School, Moreh in coordination with school authorities.
Students of National Skill Development Centre also participated in the programme.
Till now, Moreh Battalion has imparted still development training (rob roles for IT sector, retail MGT, tailoring and beauty & wellness) to more than 450 youth.
Students were distributed career guidance booklets and numbers of informative aids were used to assist students in understanding the career opportunities post Matric, Intermediate, Graduation and other professional courses in future.
Students were also imparted awareness and encouraged to join elite armed forces of the country.
Commandant Moreh Battalion also interacted with students and elaborated on importance of career planning and become responsible citizens.
He also urged students to choose their respective streams carefully after 10th and 12th standard.
The programme was attended by more than 400 students along with teachers and parents.
Principal along with teachers and parents expressed their gratitude towards Assam Rifles for organising the capsule.
