Sadar Hills (Senapati), December 03 2016:
As observed across the world, All Disable's Union Sadar Hills (ADUSH) observed the International Disabled Day by organising a prayer service at its administrative office at Kangpokpi, reports our correspondent.
Speaking at the programme, Kaigoulal Kipgen, SDC, Kangpokpi said that every human being in this world has his or her unique personality.
People with disability should not be discriminated and segregated.
They should be treated with equal respect.
He also said that special provision for the differently abled persons will be provided in the coming State Assembly election and assured that he would also take up necessary steps to uplift the differently abled persons.
ADUSH president Lalkhohen Chongloi lamented that due to non availability of fund, the union is unable to observe the day magnificently.
He said that the union wanted all the differently abled persons to come together and observe the day to show sign of our vital role in the society.
He also extended gratitude to the SDC for his continuous assistance and contribution towards the well-being of the differently abled persons.
