Four new cases take active tally to 24

Imphal, July 01 2022:
The number of active cases of Covid-19 in the state has reached 24 on Friday with the detection of four new positive cases out of 70 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, registering 5.71 per cent positivity rate.
The four fresh cases (3 male & 1 female) are residents of Imphal West (2) and Imphal East (2) districts.
No recovery or death cases were reported on Friday.
Out of the 24 active cases, 20 are in home isolation.
So far, the state has recorded 11,486 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 4 new positive cases and no fatality.
On Thursday, 3081 vaccine doses were administered and it took the cumulative num ber of vaccinated population to 15,93,297, out of which 12,59,137 had received second doses and 1,11,921 had taken precautionary doses.
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,239 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,896 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,20,386 tests per million population against the national average of 6,13,269 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.54 per cent and the recovery rate at 98.44 per cent.
The cumulative positivity rate stands 8.50 per cent.
