Promoting the horticulture products from hill districts and far-flung areas, Manipur Organic Mission Agency (MOMA) under Horticulture and Soil Conservation Department has made organic wax gourd from Kamjong district available to the public at the Sanjenthong's organic outlet from today.
It is worth noting that MOMA under the supervision of Chief Minister N Biren has been facilitating the sale of organic vegetables grown in hill districts.
Speaking to media persons, Project Officer of MOMA, Dr Jibit Singh stated that MOMA and Horticulture and Soil Conservation Department took up this service to encourage farmers of hill districts.
He said that the organic wax gourds brought from Phungyar in Kamjong district are being sold at Rs 20 per kilogram at the Sanjenthong's outlet.
Red potatoes brought from Saitang, Churachandpur are also available at the outlet, the Project Officer added.
