State level 26th National Children's Science Congress 2018

The three day (State level) 26th National Children' s Science Congress 2018 was launched today at Mira Public School, Mongsangei, by Science Teachers' Forum, Manipur under the aegis of NCSTC/DST, New Delhi and Department of Science and Technology, Manipur.
Speaking as the chief guest at the event, Director, Department of Science and Technology, Elangbam Ibocha Singh said that the National Children's Science Congress is an annual event organised with the aim of nurturing the scientific talent of the children in the country.
There are many students who are busy chasing after high marks in their exams that they fail to participate in such programmes to find their hidden talents, he said and explained that 10 projects will be selected from various levels, namely block level and district level before the State level.
After selection from the State level, if in case the project is selected for the National level, it will provide an opportunity for the students to get exposure as well as a chance to showcase their talents to the world, he said.
Informing that this year's National Children's Science Congress will be held from December 27 to 31 at Odisha, Ibocha stressed on the opportunities provided by the platform adding that the world is being dominated by scientifically and technologically developed countries.
Former president of Science Teachers' Forum Manipur G Tomba Sharma was also present as a dignitary.
