Works minister inspect Indo-Myanmar road

Moreh, May 21 2011:
Works minister, K Ranjit today said that government is working hard to develop the NH-39 from Mao to Moreh with quality control with the objective of making it upto the standard of the Trans-Asia Highway.
He also said that the construction of ADC buildings at Moreh and Kangpokpi will be completed by July of this year.
The minister was on tour to inspect improvement works being taken up on the stretch of the Indo-Myanmar section of the NH-39 today along with Speaker I Hemochandra , deputy chairman of the State Planning Board Bijoy Koijam, PWD chief engineer Lokendro and other officials of the PWD.
After the inspection, Ranjit said that many underground groups are giving disturbances in taking up improvement work of not only the highway but also in other developmental works.
Despite the hindrances construction of mini secretariat buildings at Chandel, Senapati and Tamenglong district HQ will be completed soon.
For the Thoubal and Bishnupur, they are near completion.
