Donations given as part of PM Modi's birthday celebration

Imphal, September 19 2019:
RD&PR Minister Thongam Biswajit, as part of celebrating Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday, donated ration items to Raja Dumbra Singh Women's Home in Purana Rajbari, Swadhar Home and Working Women Hostel, Senior Citizen Home (managed by Ema Leimarel Women Welfare Association) in Kongba Nongthombam Leikai yesterday.
The ration items included rice, dal, edible oil, eatables etc.
Speaking at the distribution function, Minister Biswajit said that the vision of the country's dynamic leader PM Modi is equal treatment for everyone.
The Minister maintained that children are the human resources for the future and added that it is important for the children to dream of becoming responsible human beings and to carry the feeling of Nationalism.
Maintaining that life is short and unpredictable, the Minister stated that accomplishing or providing whatever he can during his lifetime, makes him happy and feel at peace.
He then said that the items were distributed so as to extend all he can to help to the needy.
Biswajit also assured to provide medical aid for senior citizens living at old age homes apart from providing any possible help.
Meanwhile, taking part in the weeklong Nationwide celebration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi birthday, BJP Imphal West District Committee observed 'Sewa Saptah' at Mongsangei Old Age Home.
During the observance, members of BJP state unit provided sweets to the inmates of the home and narrated the story and achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Salam Joy, ex MLA cum vice president (in-charge) of Sewa Saptaha, Manipur, S Seityabhama, Chairperson, Manipur Women Development Corporation, Kh Ibohal, BJP, Imphal West Committee, A Yaima, retd SDO and Y Sarat, vice president, BJP Imphal West Committee attended the programme among others.
