ISTV scribe passes away

Akham Kuleshwor (Imotomba), a Sub Editor of ISTV News, who had been undergoing treatment at RIMS hospital since August 8, expired at the hospital today.
Condolences have poured in from ISTV Network, All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU), UCM and many other associations expressing deep sorrow at the death of Kuleshwor.
Kuleshwor's body was brought from RIMS to ISTV Network office at BT road where the management and staff paid respect to their colleague.
The body was then taken to Manipur Press Club where a condolence meeting was held and the people also observed two minutes silence in honour of the departed soul.
AMWJU president Brozendro Ningomba, former president Wangkhemcha Shamjai, MLA Kh Joykisan, K^HAM former president Nongthombam Rajendro (Boy), journalists and representatives of various CSOs were present during the meeting.
Late Kuleshwor (46) of Pishum Nongthombam Leirak, was hospitalised at RIMS after suffering a massive heart attack on the night of August 8.He expired at around 11.51 am today.
Kuleshwor is survived by his wife and two daughters.
On the other hand, UCM has expressed grief at the untimely demise of Akham Kuleshwor.
A press release issued by the association today conveyed that his demise is a great loss not only for the media community but for the State as well.
Extending sympathies to the bereaved family members and the staff and management of ISTV Network as well, it informed that a condolence meeting was also held at UCM office at Lamphelpat which was presided by its president Sunil Karam.
