TKLI calls for immediate action

Reacting against the silent of the State Government over the issue of 51 children including 41 are from Manipur, who were rescued from an unregistered orphanage home in Jaipur, where they were subjected to inhuman treatment and sexual assault, Tangkhul Katamnao Long, Imphal (TKLI) has urged the State Government to immediately respond to the SOS call of the children.
In a press statement, Ninglum KS, General Secretary, TKLI said that 51 children aged between 5-18 years, out of which 41 are from Manipur and the rest from Nagaland, were rescued from an unregistered orphan home in Jaipur, Rajasthan which is run by one Jacob John of Kerala.
The children were subjected to inhuman treatment including forceful confinement and sexual abuse.
But the Government of Manipur has not taken up any step to bring back the rescued children, although its Nagaland counterpart has immediate responded.
TKLI has urged the Manipur government for taking up necessary measures to bring back the rescued children belonging to Manipur and further appealed to all the organizations for support in this regard.
