Five e-vehicles launched

With an aim to enhance using electric vehicles in the State to reduce pollution, RD Grafix E-Ride, an exclusive showroom for electric vehicle at Ghari Awang Leikai, Airport road launched five e-scooters and e-bikes today.
The launching ceremony held in front of the showroom was graced by Rattana Ngasepam, DSP, Traffic Police; Nepram Romeo, proprietor, RD Grafix; Jit Ningomba, Joint Editor, ISTV and Saiful Islam Kazi, MD, Innovative E Motor as the chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
Speaking at the function, DSP Rattana observed that use of electric vehicles will go a long way towards minimising pollution level and accident rate in the State as electric vehicles do not emit harmful gases and they are designed in such a way that they cannot drive too fast.
She cautioned about the dangers of using electric vehicles by underage children, highlighting the liberal rules granted to electric vehicle users, such as exemption from vehicle registration.
She appealed to all the electric vehicle users not to refrain from using helmets to avoid fatal injuries in road accident.
Delivering presidential speech, Romeo asserted that the launching of e-scooters and e-bikes is an initiative towards creating an eco-friendly environment in the State.
He also conveyed that the company will take up several other initiatives, including for health sector in future for betterment of people of the State.
