Parking norms for Assembly session

Imphal, March 02 2013 :
For ensuring smooth proceeding of the ensuing 4th Session of 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly slated to commence from 11 am on March 6 in the New Assembly Hall at Chingmeirong, special parking arrangement for vehicles would be put in place.
According to an office memorandum issued by Chief Security Officer of Manipur Legislative Assembly TH Nimai Singh, the vehicles of Governor, Chief Minister, Speaker, Deputy Chief Minister, Ministers, Chairman of Hill Area Committee (HAC), Parliamentary Secretaries and MLAs shall enter through Gate no.1 and park at Parking No.1 on the northern side of the Assembly Hall and exit through Gate no.2 .
The vehicles of Government officers from the level of Commissioner and above shall enter through Gate no..2After the officers alight at the main entrance door (basement), the vehicles shall exit by the same gate and park their vehicles near the compound wall of the Assembly Secretariat.
The vehicles shall enter by the same gate to pick up the officials at the time of departing.
However, the vehicles of Government Secretariat and Departments shall not enter the Assembly campus.
They shall park their vehicles near the compound wall of the Assembly Secretariat and enter through Gate no.2 .
All officers shall deposit their mobile handsets to the Security (CID) personnel deployed on duty at the Assembly Hall (Main Entrance Door) at basement.
The vehicles of the escort parties shall not enter the Assembly campus.
However, all the PSOs shall enter the Assembly campus through Gate no.3 without arms and exit by the same gate or with the concerned MLAs through Gate no..2But owing to health ground of Revenue Minister, his PSO shall be allowed to enter through Gate no.1 without arms.
Furthermore, the private vehicles of all the employees of Assembly Secretariat, Press Media and Employees of PWD and Simplex Company Employees posted at Manipur Legislative Assembly shall enter through Gate no.3 on the Western Side of the Assembly Hall and park their vehicles at the parking no.2 and enter the Assembly hall through the main Entrance door situated at the Western side of the hall and exit by the same.
The official vehicles of the Assembly Secretariat holding White Car pass, Medical team and Fire tenders of the Manipur Fire Service shall enter through Gate number 2 and park inside the western side of the Assembly compound near parking no.2 and exit by the same gate.
All visitors intending to witness the proceedings of the house from the Galleries should invariably bring proof of identity.
Their vehicles will not be allowed to enter the Assembly Compound and should be parked near the compound wall of the Assembly Secretariat and enter through Gate no.2 .
The office memorandum has also made it clear that fire arms/materials not related with the Business of the House, if any, in the possession f the Members shall have to be deposited with the security personnel on duty (Marshal Staff).
All Assembly Secretariat staff should display their Photo ID cards and no construction/renovation works should be continued during the Assembly session, the office memorandum added.
