Imphal, December 27 2013 :
GP Women's College Students' Union has fully endorsed the ongoing mass protest taken up by the Manipur University Students' Union Revival Demand Committee (MUSU-RDC) demanding the MU Vice-Chancellor and concerned authority of MU to revive MUSU.
In a statement, the students' union said the MUSU-RDC has been compelled to launch black badge and black flag hoisting campaign as the MU authority has been unresponsive to the demand made for long time and added that in the absence of MUSU in the university, there have been many irregularities regarding academic calendar and extra co-curricular activities which have affected students at large.
Further, it urged the concerned authority of the university to meet the demand of MUSU-RDC at the earliest so that higher education students are not deprived of their fundamental rights and cautioned that the GP Women's College Students' Union will take part in all the agitations initiated by the MUSU-RDC if the demands are not met soon.
