Sadar Hills issue result of past mistakes: K Ranjit

While criticizing the past governments who ruled in the state, Works Minister K Ranjit today said that the Sadar Hills issue for which people today are facing lots of hardships is the result of past mistakes committed by the past governments.
Speaking in an inauguration function of an office of the Thangmeiban Youth Congress Committee at the Second Floor of Tampha Market, Thangal Keithel, Ranjit said that the demand of SHDDC could not be granted without proper discussion and review even though it is a legitimate demand.
The government is reviewing the situation and other factors in order to fulfill their demand.
It is not right for them to exploit the people of the state by imposing economic blockades on the lifelines of the state for their demand.
They should think and reconsider their stand since it is an impossible task for the government to fulfill their demand in haste without proper review.
In order to give some relief to the people of the trouble torn state, the government is doing what it can by buying essential commodities which will be made available to the public at much cheaper rate.
The businessmen are raising the prices of essential commodities as they lost a large amount of such products on the way since they expend a large amount in bringing in the essential commodities due to the ongoing economic blockades.
Even though, the government is fixing prices of some essential commodities after discussing the problems of the businessmen.
Moreover, the government has also take up certain stringent measures of security escort for the transporters.
Some political parties are criticizing the Congress government and appealed to the Centre to impose President Rule in the state.
It is the Congress government who save the state from the huge deficit of past governments and who upgrade Manipur Univesrity into Central University, RIMS in the level of AIIMS and the construction of the three New Ima Keithels.
Moreover, Kangla has been reclaimed from the Assam Rifles and JN Hospitals has been upgraded to JNIMS.
Digging of 38 tunnels for railway projects in the state capital is also being carried out under the SPF government.
The recommendation of Meetei Mayek as compulsory script of education and the ADC election are also credits the SPF government.
Health and Family Minister L Jayentakumar, Secretary Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) Jyotin Waikhom and President Youth Congress Committee MLA M Prithibiraj also attended the function as presidium members.
