ZUF celebrates 9th raising day

Zeliangrong United Front celebrated its 9th raising day today.
A statement issued by its information and publicity secretary KD Gangmei, said Jenchui Kamei, chairman ZUF spoke on the occasion and recalled the history of ZUF.
Zeliangrong's fight for political rights and freedom dates back to time of the British empire in India and 'Naga Raj movement' led by Jadonang succeeded by Rani Gaidinliu, said Jenchui Kamei on the occasion, informed the statement.
He also recalled the sacrifices made for Zeliangrong cause and called for commitment to honour and follow the leaders' footorints for Zeliangrong's political rights and freedom, said the statement.
The 9th raising day was observed at general headquarters/Dilung with its military wing Zeliangrong Tiger Force where a message from chairman Raitu Chawang was read out as he and vice-chairman S Kamson were not able to attend the event due to pre-engagement for the ongoing Naga peace talk at New Delhi with NNPGs leaders, said a statement of secretary, information and publicity, ZUF, Hozam Thaimei.
Raitu Chawang recalled the struggles of the leaders - Haipou Jadonang, Rani Gaidinliu and others in his message and paid tributes to those who lost their lives for Zeliangrong cause, the statement said.
