Sitting MLA and Cong candidate dies

Intending candidate and sitting MLA P.Chuba Chang passed away this morning in the Nagaland capital Kohima.
His age was not confirmed.
Chuba Chang was in fray on Congress ticket for the Sadar-II assembly constituency of Tuensang.
Other candidates in the fray in that constituency are Elam Chang of the NPF and Independent candidate Poyang Changkong Chang.
Sources from the Congress party said Chuba Chang was not keeping well in the last few days and was admitted to Naga Hospital in Kohima.
However, the sources did not revealed what Chuba Chang was suffering.
Following the demise of the Congress candidate, seven days will be given so that a candidate will be named and fielded in the Sadar II constituency by the Congress and subsequently a poll will be conducted by the authority.
Chuba Chang, a close aide of former Nagaland chief minister S.C Jamir hailed from Sophie village, Tuensang.
He became a cabinet minister in the late 1990s in the Congress regime under when Jamir was the chief minister.
