Imphal, January 22 2020:
The Bhasha Setu Samman Award of Mahvidya, Deoghar, Jharkhand for 2020 has been conferred to Professor Dr H Subadani of the Department of Hindi, Manipur University.
The award, which has been handed over to eligible and prominent personalities since 2012, is given to scholars of non-Hindi speaking regions who make outstanding contributions for Hindi language and literature and propagating the language.
The award was handed to Professor Subadani during a function held as part on the 19th Deoghar Book Fair on January 19 .

Prof Subadani is the 9th recipient of the award.
Last year, the award was given to Prof Dr Tanuja Majumdar of West Bengal.
Prof Subadani has also received other prominent including Hindi Sevi Samman Award (given away by the then President of India Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhawan on May 30, 2017), Rashtradharm Hindi Sevi Samman Puraskar (presented by the then Governor of West Bengal Kesari Nath Tripathi at Lucknow on November 6, 2016) and Hinditar Bhashi Hindi Lekhak Puraskar (presented at Rashtrapati Bhawan by the then President of India Shankar Dayal Sharma on March 15, 1996 .
Professor Subadani has published nine books and more than 50 research papers.
