State cyclist brings message of saving Sangai and humanity from Delhi

Imphal, November 20 2018:
Cyclist Philem Rohan Singh who peddled from Sharda University Delhi to Imphal to raise awareness under under the theme, "Save Sangai and Humanity", reached Imphal yesterday.
He passed through 12 States and covered a distance of approximately 3500 km.
The cyclist was flagged off for Keibul Lamjao National Park at Maria Montessori Senior School, Koirengei today morning.
The cyclist started his journey from October 16 from Sharda University Campus Noida.
The flagging off ceremony was organized by Maria Montessori Senior Secondary School, Koirengei as he was a former teacher of the school.
He was flagged off by Moirangthem Asnikumar Singh, Environmentalist and State Vice President BJP, V Hangkhanlian,' Minister of Agriculture, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry and Dr Sapam Ranjan, Chairman of Tourism Corporation of Manipur Limited.

Chairman of the school, Ajit Irom, Director Laila Gatphoh and Principal Suchitra, Imphal East SP K Meghachandra were also present.
Philem Rohan shared his experience of the journey and his objective of the tour.
Speaking to media persons, Moirangthem Asnikumar lauded Philem Rohan for his courage and determination to initiate such journey for spreading awareness from Delhi.
He has travelled through several difficult, terrains and passed through many difficulties to disseminate awareness about the State animal "Sangai" to the rest of the States.
In connection with the Sangai Festival which will kick start tomorrow, the lone cyclist has contributed greatly in raising awareness about the State animal and the festival.
Chairman of Tourism Corporation of Manipur Limited Dr Sapam Ranjan said Rohan Philem is commendable for his determination to promote Sangai and the Festival.
He extended gratitude to the cyclist and wished for success in his future endeavours.
