Works Minister Dr Kh Ratankumar today made it clear that the Government is not planning to acquire more land from along Keishampat-Malom road for expansion of Tiddim road.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the inaugural ceremony of a five-day long Disaster Management Training at Mayang Imphal Thongkhong community hall, the Minister said residents on both sides of Tiddim road should build structures at a distance of 10 ft away from from the road side, but they are not obeying the Municipality bye-laws.

The five-day long Disaster Management Training at Mayang Imphal Thongkhong in Imphal West is being jointly organized by Society for Sustainable Development and Mayang Imphal Thongkhong Development Committee.
Apart from the Works Minister, the inaugural function was attended by Th Rajmohon, Chairperson, Mayang Imphal Municipal Council and Dr Suhel, Principal Secretary, Relief & Disaster Management.
