3 Burmese Nationals held

Imphal, May 16 2018:
Aina Battalion under the Churachandpur Sector, conducted a successful operation by apprehending 03 (Three) Burmese Nationals on May 13.The Area Domination party under Parbung Company Commander was on routine patrol at Lungthullen village when these individuals were apprehended.
The apprehended individuals were not in possession of any kind of valid/legal documents or any written permission to enter Indian Territory, thereby violating and abrogating the Free Movement Regime.
They were carrying large quantity of smuggled items from Myanmar and currency notes (Indian and Burmese).
They were also not in possession of any identity card.
On spot enquiry it was revealed that, these apprehended Burmese Nationals belong to 'Vang teh' village, near Tiddim town, Saizang city, Myanmar.
They entered India via Mizoram on April 15, and illegally crossed IB at 'Zokhawthar' village (Myanmar) .
The local populace at Parbung sub-division and Lungthullen village, also appreciated and supported the battalion.
