Manipur crosses 14 thousand mark with 15 from IGAR (S), 22 from IE locality
Record rise in 24 hours with six deaths, 301 positives

The State COVID-19 death toll has crossed the hundred mark as six persons succumbed to the virus taking the number to 103 in the last 24 hours.
This is the highest death toll on a single day till date in Manipur.
The number of infection also saw the highest rise with 301 persons testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
As many as 301 persons including 20 personnel of the Central Armed Police Force tested positive for coronavirus spiking the number of total cases to 14,094 .
The six who died in the last 24 hours include one 40-year-old female from Kangpokpi district who succumbed to the virus at JNIMS Hospital, said a report of COVID-19 Common Control Room issued by Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
The other victims include a 73-year-old male from Imphal West, one 49-year-old and a 50-year-old male from Imphal East, one 73-year-old male from Thoubal and an 88-year-old male from Tamenglong district.
Three of them died at RIMS and once each expired at Shija Hospital and Tamenglong district hospital.
Meanwhile, the 281 civilians who tested positive for COVID-19 cases include 150 males and 131 females.
They hail from Imphal West (49), Imphal East (94), Thoubal (57), Kangpokpi (21), Kakching (15), Chandel (14), Churachandpur (12), Bishnupur (9), Tamenglong (4), Ukhrul (3), Noney (2) and Senapati (1) .
Seven persons from Imphal West are returnees while the rest have no significant travel history.
They are being shifted to COVID-19 Care facilities for treatment and appropriate measures like contact tracing are in place, said the report.
The 20 security personnel who tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours include 15 personnel of IGAR (South) and the 94 cases from Imphal East include 22 from Wangkhei Khunou.
A late report from JNIMS said as many as 557 samples were tested and 171 were found positive for COVID-19 .
They include 46 residents of Imphal East, 25 from Kangpokpi and 68 from Churachandpur and 20 personnel of IGAR (South) .
In Thoubal, 10 out of 139 samples tested positive for the virus on Rapid Antigen Test.
On the other hand, 86 persons have been discharged after recovery from the disease in the last 24 hours.
They were discharged from CAPF (4), home isolation (7), RD Wing (3), UNACCO (22), Lamboikhongnangkhong (40), Noney (1), Thoubal (3), Bishnupur (5) and PR School Kakching (1).The number of recovered cases has reached 10,915 (general population - 8718 and Central security personnel - 2197) .
The recovery rate now stands at 77.44 percent.
The total number of positive cases is 14,094 (general population - 11526 and Central security personnel - 2568) .
The number of active cases is 3,076 including 2709 civilians and 367 Central security personnel.
