Ukhrul District Hospital opens, resumes services

Ukhrul, September 08 2020:
Following revocation of containment order, the Ukhrul District Hospital re-opened today and has started resuming it's normal health services.
The Medical Superintendent Dr Reisangmi informed that the District Hospital was declared a containment area on September 2 and the whole campus was sealed after one of its nurse staff and her relative living in the staffs' quarter was found COVID-19 positive.
Subsequently, all the doctors, nurses, staff, attendants and patients admitted in the District Hospital were tested for covid-19 and after getting negative results in their second test result, the District Magistrate Joseph Pauline Kamson issued revocation order yesterday for resumption of services.
All the health services - OPD, IPD emergency and National health programmes, which were temporarily suspended will now resume normally in the District Hospital.
