Regional conference on Digital Land Record Modernisation Programme held

A two-day regional conference of NorthEastern zone under Digital India Land Record Modernisation Programme (DILRMP), jointly organised by Department of Land Resources, GOI and Revenue Department, GOM, was conducted on August 5 and 6 at Hotel Imphal, said a statement of Pangambam Yaitongba, Deputy Settlement Officer, Directorate of Settlement and Land Records, Manipur.
The conference was inaugurated by Revenue Minister Karam Shyam at Sangai Hall, Hotel Imphal on August 5.Ruolkhumlien Buhril, Secretary (Land Resources), GOI and Dr Suhel Akhtar, Addl Chief Secretary, GOM attended the event as guest of honour and president respectively, said the statement.
The delegates from all eight States of North-East- Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura also visited the office of the Sub-Registrar, Bishnupur, for demonstration of the implementation of National Generic Documents Registration System.
Ruolkhumlien Buhril, Secretary (Land Resources), Government of India, emphasised the need for regular updation in the MIS (Management Information System) and adoption of State specific approaches as well as constant sharing of ideas between the State and the stakeholders, it said.
