Loli Adanee, BJP nominee in the Outer Manipur Parliamentary constituency who received a warm well come to every village in Tamenglong district headquarter he visited Tuesday said that Nagas' love for peace should be shown by works but not by talking only.
"Let shun all forms of violence and feel the love of Nagas to every citizens of the state so that the world know Nagas are peace lover and not wanted to indulge in violence," Loli said speaking a election meeting of his party held at Tamenglong district headquarter today.
He started his election campaign in the district from yesterday.
Earlier, this morning, Loli along with supporters went to the villages located at the Tamenglong district headquarters where all section of people cutting across the line of political parties received him with warm well come.
He also got the blessing of the elderly people of the villages who poured down their grievances and request to relief them and their offspring from the clutch of atrocities meted out by arm militants.
Boost up his moral with the rousing well come from the people of the Tamenglong district, he said if he be voted to power, the first thing he is going to do is taking up projects and schemes suited the natural resource available in the hill districts of the state so that socio-economic condition can be improved.
He said Tamenglong district has many natural resources like bamboo and medicinal plants but still these resources are not explored well as government is not taking keen interest.
"But, I assured you, I will try my best to avail funds for taking up the works, may be international funding, even though government do not response to take up the works," he said.
He also reiterated the need for prevalent of peace in the region for bringing development and asking the people not to indulge in violent activities which other communities would thing Nagas as cruel and uncivilized people and remain far away from those who try to woo people with communal instincts.
Only when people live together breaking the wall of community they belongs to, peace and development can go ahead fruitfully while assuring the people that he and his party's will give first priority in bringing peace in the state.
Former state minister RV Ramthing from Ukhrul district, Samuel Jendai from Chandel, DP Panmei from Tamenglong, president of the All Political Party Forum, Thoubal district, and former councilors from Jiribam Municipal Council like Kunjarani Devi and TNN Pamei also attended the election rally of the Loli Adanee who proudly said that he is the example to show that BJP is not a communal party.
In the morning Adanee and his supporters also visited the memorial site of the Haipou Jandongnang and paid rich floral tribute to the statue of the Zeliangrong freedom fighter.
