Imphal, August 06 2011:
The AMWJU today cautioned all media persons in the state as well as those individuals or organizations concerned to abstain from taking bribes either in cash or kind to publish election related news.
In a press statement signed by its general secretary S Surjeswar, AMWJU stated that such practices are against the guidelines of the PCI as well as the code of ethics of AMWJU.
AMWJU has been particularly distressed by news that media persons had been paid to publish news and reports about aspiring candidates.
