Imphal, February 03 2023:
Works Minister Govindas Konthoujam has conveyed that the State will soon see an improved scenario in infrastructure development and more road development projects will begin shortly.
He also said that the Asian Development Bank will release funds amounting to crores of rupees for development of Imphal Ring Road while the State Government is working to begin the construction of rigid pavements in different parts of Imphal and Greater Imphal areas by completing the tender process by March this year.
Today, a JCB dealership christened Ma & Ma Mercantile Private Limited was opened at Malom Bazar.
The Works Minister continued that opening of such JCB dealerships will ensure there is no limitation of heavy machinery in execution of development projects.
Saying that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced road projects worth around Rs 14,999 crore for the State, Govindas maintained that the State will also receive more for development of Imphal Ring Road.
The Government is also working to commence the rigid pavement construction works in different parts of Imphal and Greater Imphal areas under a fund allocation of Rs 3,900 crore from Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, AIIB by completing the tender process by next month (March) .
