Imphal, December 02 2010:
India indulged in state terrorism under the garb of democracy has been clearly showed by the twisting reports about the arrest of RK Meghen aka Sanayaima aka Surjit Waikhom from Motihari, Bihar, charged the UNLF in an-email statement dispatched today.
The statement signed by publicity officer Ksh Yoiheiba stated that the production of the chairman after two months of concealment since his arrest from Dhaka in Bangladesh on September 29 enacted as an arrest from a place in Bihar might be the result of strong pressures from various directions.
When people of the state rose up and Amnesty International responded, the drama of arrest was staged as there was a likelihood of an outbreak of unrest in the state.
When the BBC and Tehelka exposed the arrest of Meghen, India's state terrorism became clear, the statement claimed.
Reiterating that Meghen was arrested by a combined team of RAW and its Bangladesh counterpart while travelling in his vehicle (Dhaka Metro G-17-0716) in Lalmatia area of Dhaka on September 29, the statement said that an FIR case (FIR No.1981 dated 29/09/10) was registered with the Mohammadpur Police Station.
A missing report was also published in the daily papers "Yugantor" and "Inqilab" on October 3 with photos of Sanayaima aka Surjit Waikhom.
At the time of claiming the arrest of Meghen from Motihari in Bihar, two contradictory versions appeared, Meghen was arrested by a team of NIA (National Investigative Agency), while another report said a combined team of Bihar and Manipur police had arrested him.
The contradictory reports arose when they tried to conceal the truth behind the arrest of the chairman.
GoI will tell hundreds of lies to conceal a truth.
It is their habit, the statement criticized.
The game-plan of the GoI is not a new one to the people of the state.
It's a daily happening in the state which witnesses innocent people being eliminated after being picked up by security forces, killings in fake encounters and asking UGs to surrender with promises of jobs etc.
