Irabot month from today

Irabot Celebration Committee will kick start the month-long 120th birth anniversary of Jananeta Hijam Irabot from tomorrow.
CPI State Secretary Dr Moirangthem Nara said that the birth anniversary would be celebrated under the theme, 'Irabot's ideology of protecting the identities of both hill and valley' .
He said that different functions and campaigns would be organised at different parts of the State throughout the month.
Dr Nara said that the inaugural function which was scheduled to be held at GM hall would now be conducted at Irawat Bhawan at 1 pm.
The closing function of the celebration would be held at Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen with two Ministers from Tripura and Kerala as guests of honour on September 30 .
He said that there is a divide between hill and valley now due to absence of governance and dedicated leaders.
He exhorted the youth to contemplate on the ideology of the leader through wide-spread celebrations in September.
Regarding police Constables recruitment agitations, he said that the issue is the fallout of mis-governance, corruption and people's failure to elect the right candidates during elections.
Stating that Jananeta's thoughts are well reflected in his songs, poems and speeches, Dr Nara said that all his thoughts and philosophies are all applicable to the current issues.
He also strongly condemned the cancellation of the recruitment process of police Constables of 2013 batch.
