Imphal, April 22 2021:
People of Sandang Senba Maring Khul have appealed to the State Government and the authority concerned not to remove the personnel of 143 CRPF personnel deployed at the village until a land dispute with Andro is solved amicably.
The women of Sandang Senba Maring Khul also blocked the village road, denouncing the alleged move of the Government to deploy State force instead of CRPF personnel, who are stationing since March 29 to avert confrontation between the two villages over the land issue.
Speaking to journalists, information and publicity secretary of Sandang Senba Maring Woman Society, KS Toshim claimed that the locals can't put their faith in the State force as the recent arson took place in their presence.
She then demanded the Government to continue deploying Central force until the land dispute is solved amicably.
Reminding that the Village authority of Sadang Senba Maring Khul had also urged the authority concerned to deploy the CRPF at the village for another six months, she claimed that they are unable to carry on with their daily works due to frequent intimidation by the people of Andro.
