48 hour bandh affects normal life in Bishnupur

Bishnupur, April 21 2021:
Normal life has been affected in Bishnupur district on the first day of the 48 hours bandh called by the Manipur State Panchayat Parishad, Porompat.
However there is no report of any untoward incidents yet.
The members, pradhans of Zilla Parishad, job card holders came in support of the bandh demanding immediate implementation of National Electronic Fund Management System, to release the pending 16 months honorarium of elected representatives of Gram Panchayat and Zilla Parishad, wages of job card holders and release of second instalment of 15th Finance Commission.

In view of the bandh, the markets in the municipal area of the district like Nambol Keithel, Oinam Keithel, Bishnupur Keithel and other markets in the Gram Panchayat area wore a desolate look from dawn to dusk.
Pradhans, members and job card holders of 24 Gram Panchayat in Bishnupur district including Ngankhalawai GP, Tronglaobi Terakhongshangbi GP, Torbung GP, Saiton GP, Moirang Khunou GP, Kha Thinungei Gp, Phubala GP, Wangoo GP, Toubul GP, etc blocked the road at various places.
