AR uses deserters to hunt cadres: ZUF

The Zeliangrong United Front is against the evil design of the Assam Rifles who are using deserters of this Front as informers, said a statement of the Front.
According to the statement deserters namely Ningtingthan, Ngamthang, Kiuliangbou and Jeanchuilung are being used to track down the ZUF cadres.
'We are compelled to demonstrate our capability to strike back as a warning shot', the ZUF statement warned, while saying that the Front sent some expert bombers who attacked the 13 AR between Nungba and Kambiron (5 Km west Nungba), in which incident 5 army Jawans were killed and 14 got serious injury on November 18 .
The ZUF charged that the AR is using many of their deserters to hunt down and harass their establishment.
Many were killed, injured and our whereabouts have been targeted which cannot be tolerated anymore, it said.
'We are neither against the government nor any other UGs factions as we are running our own establishment under the constitution jurisdiction of India to bring about unification of fragmented Zeliangrong areas under a single roof', it stated.
The ZUF further clarified that it did not have any encounter with NSCN-IM in recent time, as published in local papers.
Moreover, it had not involved in any joint venture of attack against the Army.
The ZUF also warned that Indian army will face more serious consequences if such mischief and secret conduct of harassment still continues.
