Cultural Exchange Prog at Sandang Senba Maring

Imphal, October 20 2014:
One day Cultural Exchange Programme jointly organized by Indigenous Minority Organisation Manipur (IMOM) and Sandang Senba Maring Village Authority was held today at Sandang Senba Village.
Participated by the minority communities living in and around Sandang Senba Maring area of Senapati district, the programme was held with H.Hangsing Chairman of ADC Sadar Hills and ML Dominic ADC Member Nongmaiching Constituency as the Special Guest of the function.
While President of Indigenous Minority Organisation Manipur (IMOM) Khupler Kom, President of National Identity Protection Committee (NIPCO) Sunil Karam and Chairman of Sandang Senba Maring Village Authority Kt.
Mothil took part as presidium members.
Rengenson Thanga General Secretary of IMOM said that the organization is working for the upliftment of indigenous minority communities staying in the state.
Such kind of cultural exchange programme will also be held at various other places.
Speaking on the occasion, Special Guest H.Hansing lauded the steps taken up by IMOM to strengthen ties between different minority communities living in the area.
He said love between various communities will exist when all the communities respect each others' identity and culture.
Today's cultural programme showcased various cultural performances by teams of Tangkhul, Vaiphei, Kuki, Kharam, Kabui, Chiru, Meitei and Maring communities who lives in and around Sandang Senba Maring area.
The teams represent Poirou Tangkhul, Kamuching, Nongleipan, Tuisenphai, Karpursungba, Uran Chiru, Keirao Wangkhem, Uchol and Sandang Senba Maring villages.
