BSEM Chairman stresses on importance of education

The prizes of the Ist State Level General Knowledge Competition organised by Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) on May 4 were distributed today during a function held at the Multipurpose Hall of Modern College here.
The function was attended by Chairman of Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BSEM) P Dhanakumar as chief guest, DESAM leader M Angamba as president and Regional Manager of Scholar Publishing House, Guwahati A Raju as guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Dhanakumar hailed DESAM for organizing such competition and it is very fortunate that the student body has been inexorably working towards bringing quality education in the State.

Observing that the society will be ruined sans education, the BSEM Chairman advised the young people not to try to be chic blindly as it may cause harm to their own identities.
He maintained that a good society is shaped only when everyone becomes good citizens.
The State level general knowledge competition was held in three categories.
Florida Soubam of Royal Academy of Advanced Learning bagged the first position in the class I-II category, Khundongbam Usha of KM Blooming Higher Secondary School, Khangabok won the second position while Sinam Urisima of MS Global Academy secured the third position.
In the class III-V category, Md Azimuddin Shah of KM Blooming, Lanchenbam Thokchom of St Joseph School, Sangaiprou and Md Abdul Mulhim of KM Blooming secured the first, second and third positions respectively.
Shah Minhaz of Tiny Tot's Unique School secured the first position, Sanju Heisnam of Imphal Public Higher Secondary Education and Khundrakpam Robinson of New Public Higher Secondary School jointly secured the second position while Md Talat Aziz of Wisdom Foundation, Khangabok and Mayanglambam Khelemba of MI Academy shared third position in the class VI-VIII category.
