Radheshyam pitches for development of Heirok AC

While assuring of providing regular water supply and other key necessities, Heirok AC MLA Th Radheshyam has appealed to the farmers and other denizens of the constituency to take a proactive role in making Heirok a well-developed and self-sustainable constituency.
He made the appeal during the second day of dredging work undertaken on Friday as part of the "Loubuk Maikei Panglashi Mission" he launched on Thursday.
The dredging work is being carried out along the tributary of Ingourok river from Ingourok till Horton and Shikhong Khumbi and passing through Sekmai and Toubul.
MLA Radheshyam said that Ingourok is a beautiful and fertile place and the people of the area are hard working as well.
So far, 500 households along with paddy fields of 10 villages in Ingourok, Khumbi, Sekmai, Shikhong, Thokchom, Bengi, Lourembam and Aripat are receiving water from the tributary.
Urging the farmers to plant different types of crops and others to shift their focus on agricultural activities, the MLA assured to provide regular supply of water along with other requirements.
He further urged for concerted efforts to put Heirok at the forefront of agricultural and other allied activities.
Appealing to the denizens of Heirok for support in his efforts to improve the income of the farmers, Radheshyam said that concerted efforts will help in development of the constituency and the state.
The dredging work was also attended by Heirok Zila Parishad member T Nungshi Singh, Shikhong Sekmai Municipal Council ex-councillors, Lourembam GP pradhan nominees Sanakhomba and others.
Later, MLA Radheshyam inspected the ongoing construction of NESA ground at Nongpok Sekmai.
