SEVA organises 28th annual meet, presents awards

Self Employment Voluntary Association (SEVA) celebrated its 28th annual meet at Gandhi Memorial Hall today.
SEVA Manipur president Ahongshangbam Bharajit, SEVA-AIC advisor as well as retd Director Agriculture Department RK Nayansana, CML TATA Trusts Imphal regional manager Hringjangam Langhu, OIC, Blood bank & transfusion unit Dr Konsam Surjit, NeDFi Imphal branch manager Priyobrata Gurumayum, DDM Imphal West & Senapati Thokchom Kirankumar attended the meet as presidium members among others.
The SEVA-AIC Agricultural Seed Award 2018 was conferred to Y Noren with a cash award of Rs 5000 and citation while the Best SHG Award 2018 comprising of a cash award of Rs 5000 was presented each to Kha Sanjenbam Makha Leikai and Twelve Star SHG, Tera Sapam Leirak, Nongmaithem Leikai.
The Best Employee award (with cash award of Rs 5000) was given to Kh Shamusaba.
Speaking at the function, SEVA Manipur chief executive officer stated that SEVA took up a noble initiative, till 2015, to provide financial aid to 50 deprived families and underprivileged men and women so that they can provide themselves a source of livelihood.
He assured that SEVA is targeting to provide proper financial support to one lakh women belonging to poor family.
Maintaining that SEVA will strive to achieve its target, however, he also sought the support of the public in making the dream a reality.
