New NPO executive council takes oath

Senapati, December 30 2017:
A day after its new office was officially inaugurated, the elected executive council of Naga People's Organisation (NPO) took over the office after the oath taking ceremony.
The ceremony was held at the new NPO conference hall, Senapati DHQ in which K R Solomon of Maiba village, representing the Poumai Naga Council, took over the helm of NPO office from Moses Kamba.
Administrating the oath taking ceremony, NPO chief election commissioner A John stressed the need for transparent election process for civil bodies in order elect abled and dynamic leaders.
Taking oath cannot be a mere formality but must be taken with all seriousness, he asserted .

Outgoing president Moses Kamba lauded the outgoing members, Tribe Hohos, frontal bodies, Churches, election commission and other stakeholders for all their support and cooperation.
He congratulated the newly appointed office bearers and is hopeful that the new members will take up public oriented developments.
Zeliangrong Union, Senapati zone president Ng Luikang, during the occasion, urged for promoting a mature relation ship among different tribes.
NPO president KR Solomon assured to work diligently and for the welfare of the people.
He urged the other executive members of the office to be vigilant and cautious of the current issues and problems of the State.
The new president gave emphasis on cleanliness and garnering public support for smooth functioning of NPO.
Zeliangrong Church Pastor Rev Thuimai blessed the newly appointed members including its president K R Solomon, vice president, Adani David Choro, general secretary Parang Chawang, Assistant general secretary S Robin among others.
The programme was held in the presence of Tribe leaders, SDWA leaders, former presidents of the office, village leaders, Church leaders and NPO election commission members.
